Cort Heine, LCSW

Cort is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with adults, teenagers and couples for over 20 years in both private practice and hospital settings (Hartford Hospital). Cort specializes in treating individuals who are coping with anxiety, depression, tinnitus, anger, conflict in the family, relationship distress, and grief. He uses a solutions-based, relational approach, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) techniques. Cort believes strongly in creating a trusting therapeutic alliance with his clients in order to help patients meet their personal goals. Cort earned his master’s in social work at the University of Connecticut and has received both the Primary and Advanced Training Certificate in REBT from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City.
