Kathleen McKay-Pyne, LCSW

My Approach

I am a compassionate strength-based, client-centered, cross-cultural therapist. I utilize a variety of techniques which are evidence-based and have training in various modalities and coping strategies which I filter through an intersectional lens. There are often several aspects of life that need to be addressed so I take a holistic, integrative approach. I also use a healthy amount of humor because I do believe laughter can be a powerful resource for healing. My hope is to help anyone who feels overwhelmed by their life or circumstances by providing you with a safe and judgement free environment where you can heal and grow at your own pace.

Specialty Areas

I have experience working with people who live with co-occurring disorders, depression and mood disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, alternative relationship structures, relationship dynamics, life transitions and personality disorders. I am passionate about helping people in the LGBTQIA +, BIPOC, first generation, and cross-cultural communities.
