Makenzie McDonald, LMSW

My Approach

My goal is to create a safe and collaborative environment in which clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to become the best version of themselves. I have a warm and empathetic approach, centering clients from diverse populations and across the lifespan. I root my practice in clinical judgment, cultural humility, and a commitment to meeting clients where they are in their journey. Combining evidence-informed interventions with a strengths-based approach, I strive to help individuals to build resilience and achieve meaningful change.

Specialty Areas

I specialize in supporting individuals who are dealing with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and interpersonal challenges. Through my practice, I emphasize building emotional clarity and strength, developing coping strategies for the future, and helping clients navigate their relationships and personal lives with greater confidence and insight into what they need and how they communicate.
